Scheduling

We value your time and will always try our best to stay on schedule to minimize your waiting.  We are also mindful of the time of our employees, some of whom have children at daycare or school, commute from long distances from the office, or attend evening classes immediately after work.  In order to stay on schedule, if a patient is late to a scheduled appointment, especially one involving treatment (fillings, crowns, extractions, etc.), we may reschedule him or her if we feel as though there is insufficient time remaining to properly complete the appointment in the allotted time.  

Because children can have bad days just like adults do, sometimes things do not go exactly as planned, and various circumstances may lengthen the time allocated for a procedure. Emergency cases can also arise and cause delays.  If we are running behind schedule, the aforementioned reasons usually explain why.  We appreciate your understanding and patience.

If your child is in pain or has had an accident involving the teeth, every attempt will be made to see you that day.  For existing patients or “patients of record,” emergency care is available after hours either by Dr. Aka himself or by someone with whom Dr. Aka has arranged coverage in his absence.

Because parents of school-aged children always request after school appointments, and, because our office, like most pediatric dental offices, gets very busy in the afternoons, all new patient appointments and treatment appointments are scheduled in the morning in order to ensure the best results and experiences possible.

Monday:        8:00am – 5:00pm
Tuesday:        8:00am – 5:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Thursday:      8:00am – 1:00pm
